Aeronautica 3D began in 1995 by building 3D aircraft computer models. Inspired by the computer graphics and animations at that time (“Minds Eye”), and the freeform CAD software Autodessys Form-Z, Aeronautica 3D built and sold 3D computer models of aircraft. At this time, the focus was wireframes only, no texture mapping, which would happen later.
